The Allen brothers have performed for over 40 years together.

TOLEDO, Ohio—The Allen brothers and their families all live in the Toledo area now, where they often are asked to look back on their illustrous, 40-year careers as ground-breaking artists in R&B and Gospel music.

Steve Allen is a physical therapist with the St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Tom is retired from the state of Michigan and Rance still is pastor of the New Bethel COGIC, where his wife, Ellen Marie, remains very active in supporting the ministry they founded. How would he like to be remembered, Rance Allen was asked.

"I would love it if they said Rance loved God, he loved music and he loved people," he said. "And if they said God was given glory in the music, and anybody

who heard it was blessed. I would very much like to be remembered for something like that." There is no doubt from family and fans that he be. That is because Rance and his brothers, artists who formed the Rance Allen Group (RAG), performed music magic for 40 years in arenas across the nation.

After the release of yet another RAG album that is climbing the charts, Rance Allen reflected on his life and career. After celebrating 40 years in
