LOS ANGELES—What do Prince Charles, Sylvester Stallone and Morgan Freeman have in common? For these celebrities and others around the world, the common thread is Mosaraf Ali, M.D., who uses alternative medicine to heal a host of problems.

In the past, he has delved into a number of different subjects, ranging from yoga to infertility. Now Ali has come out with a unique book on the neck’s relationship to health, titled The Neck Connection.

The book represents a compelling and unprecedented approach to a part of the body that is rarely mentioned. Ali reveals a new type of therapy that involves manipulating the arteries in the neck in order to help reduce or even eliminate fatigue, arthritis, headaches, back pain, vision problems and other common illnesses.

“The neck is literally the lifeline of our bodies, the essential pathway from our heart to the brain,” he explains.

Ali, a London-based physician to Prince Charles, was born in India. Steeped in the South Asian traditions of Ayurveda and Unani, he integrates these ancient medical and spiritual practices into western medicine. Yoga, Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture also figure into Ali’s work.

His holistic approach to medicine has caught the eye of a number of other celebrities, including Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Douglas and Andrew Lloyd Weber.

“Dr. Ali has an encyclopedic knowledge of the muscle and nerve systems that he applies ...Read More
